Grand View’s Penelope Olsen Earns First-Ever Heart Cheerleader of the Week Award

The Heart of America Athletic Conference made history on Monday, as the conference selected its first-ever Heart Cheerleader of the Week.

Grand View University's Penelope Olsen was selected the winner, after her team earned a score of 84.95 points last week at the Grand View Invitational.

Olsen is a senior from Olathe, Kansas and will next compete for the Vikings on Feb. 4 at the Graceland Invitational.

In order to nominate a cheerleader for the Heart Cheerleader of the Week, the Heart competitive cheer team that earns the highest score during a competition for the week of Jan. 23-29 is eligible for the Heart Cheerleader of the Week award.

The team with the highest score will select one cheerleader from their team and that cheerleader will garner the award.
