Baker, Grand View Selected to Repeat as Heart Football Champions

The Heart of America Athletic Conference football coaches selected their 2021 Heart North and South Preseason Polls this week, as Grand View and Baker were picked to top the Heart North and South Divisions respectively.

The Vikings captured the Heart North division titles in 2019 and 2020 outright and have earned at least a share of the Heart North championship in five of the six seasons divisional play began in the Heart in 2015.

The Baker Wildcats have earned an outright or share of the Heart South every year since 2015. 2014 was the last year the 'Cats did not finish at the top of the Heart, as MidAmerica Nazarene and Missouri Valley shared the title.

Heart conference play begins August 28 and wraps up on November 13.

The 2021 Heart Football Media Day will take place on Friday, August 13, as all 12 head coaches will be featured on Zoom interviews.
