Buchanan, Kromah Earn Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, presented by WinWon. 

Joe Buchanan of MidAmerica Nazarene was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Abubakar Kromah earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Buchan and the Pioneers won two more Heart games last week, both at home, as they defeated Missouri Valley, 81-62, and William Penn, 116-84.

The freshman averaged 26.5 points per game for MNU, as he scored an impressive 35 against WPU.

The Pioneers have now won eight-straight games.

Kromah and the Pirates also earned two victories last week, a road win at Benedictine, 90-88, and a home win over (RV) Graceland, 64-61.

The junior had two outstanding all-around games for the Pirates, as he had three steals and a block in each and had 10 defensive rebounds against BC and six against Graceland.
