MidAmerica Nazarene University Wins First-Ever Heart Men’s Golf Conference Championship
In just their second year as a program, MidAmerica Nazarene University men's golf team won their first-ever Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship on Tuesday afternoon, as they won the event by one stroke over defending heart champion Park University.
The event took place at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Iowa.
Park University's Guillermo Cervantes won the individual title with his rounds of 68, 72 and 69 for a total score of 209. He won the medalist title by two strokes over MidAmerica Nazarene's Josh Killingsworth, who shot, 72, 68, 71 for a 211.
The Pioneers have now qualified for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships, May 21-24, at the Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.

The 2024 Heart Men's Golf All-Conference team was also announced at the conclusion of the tournament.
The All-Conference team consists of 15 players. The 15 players will be the five low medalists, including ties for 5th-place, at the conference tournament.
The remaining All-Conference players will be selected by the Golf Stat individual adjusted scoring average ranking (to be eligible a player must have posted at least 10 competitive collegiate golf rounds during the academic year).
