Minear, Griffen Selected Heart Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

In the final Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners of the 2023 season, Grand View's Chantz Minear was selected the Heart Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Keaten Griffen of William Penn University collected the Heart Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Minear competed at the Concordia Invitational last week and placed third overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.18. He hit the NAIA 'A' Standard, qualifying him for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

Griffen competed at the Grinnell College Darren Young Classic and broke the WPU school record in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.38m. He won the event and currently ranks No. 3 in the Heart in this event.
