Grand View Wins Fourth-Straight Heart Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship
For the fourth-straight season, Grand View University has now won the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Track & Field Conference Championship.
For the fourth-straight season, Grand View University has now won the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Conference Championship.
The Vikings won the 2023 Championship on Saturday with 163.5 points, while Mount Mercy placed second with 106.5 points and Benedictine placed third with 104 points.
Grand View's Isaiah Wittrock and Carter Huyser both tied for the most points scored in the meet with 23 points.
Wittrock won the 1,000m run and placed second in the 800m run, while also finishing first along with Huyser in the 4x800m relay and the men's distance relay.
Huyser won the men's 800m and placed second in the 1,000m.
The Heart will announce the 2023 Coach of the Year, Assistant Coach of the Year, Track Athlete of the Meet and Field Athlete of the Meet on Monday, February 20.
The top three finishers in each event were be considered 2023 Heart Indoor Track & Field All-Conference athletes. 1st Place = First Team All-Conference, 2nd Place = Second Team All-Conference, 3rd Place = Third Team All-Conference, and fourth, fifth and sixth place finishers in each event will be considered 2022 Heart Indoor Track & Field Honorable Mention All-Conference.
