Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its first Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon, presented by BoxOut.

Leroy Williams of Central Methodist University earned the Heart Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor, while Blake Willey of Grand View University garnered the Heart Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Williams competed in the Coach Alsup Open in Maryville, MO and placed second in the 60m hurdles, tying his personal best time of 8.06 seconds.

The senior hit the 'B' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championships.

Willey won the men's shot put at the Chelsey M. Henkenius Open with his toss of 17.04m to place first.

His mark is No. 1 in the Heart in that event and is now No. 1 in the NAIA and it hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of Qualification for the NAIA National Championships.
