Heart Men's Volleyball Players of the Week Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Adrian Figueroa of No. 9 ranked Park University earned the Heart Attacker of the Week award, while Xavier Gamayo of UHSP was named the Heart defender of the Week and teammate RJ Dilks of UHSP was selected the Heart Setter of the Week.

Figueroa had 32 kills against No. 11 Missouri Valley, averaging 6.40 kills per set in that contest.

For the week, the freshman had 53 total kills and 5.30 kills per set.

Dilks and UHSP went 3-0 last week with a sweep of Culver-Stockton and a four-set win over Indiana Tech and Kansas Wesleyan.

For the week, the sophomore had 145 total assists, averaging 13.18 assists per set. He also had 16 total digs.

Gamayo had double-digit digs in all three contests last week, including 19 against Indiana Tech. For the week, the sophomore averaged 3.73 digs per set.
