Benedictine Women's Basketball Selected Musco Team Sportsmanship Award Recipient

For the third-straight season, the Benedictine College women's basketball program has been selected for the Musco Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport of women's basketball, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The Ravens, under head coach Chad Folsom, earned the award for their display of the NAIA's Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.

Teams are nominated throughout the season by Athletics Administrators, Game Officials, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Fans.

Here is what the nominators had to say about the Ravens:

"Benedictine is a class act both on & off the basketball court. They show outstanding sportsmanship, respect & integrity within their basketball program and are an excellent reflection of the Heart of America Athletic Conference as well as the NAIA. They are always very welcoming and are a great host to their opponents. They are always respectful, humble in victory and gracious in defeat. I have much respect for their time, players, coach and the way they represent their school."
