Two First Time Winners in 2022 Highlight Heart Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday and two first time winners this season highlight the award this week. 

Sandra Jakobsen of No. 8 nationally ranked Central Methodist University captured the Heart Offensive Player of the Week award, while Faith Krapfl of Clarke was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Jakobsen and the Eagles went 2-0 last week with a 3-1 victory over Baker and a 7-0 win over William Penn.

The Svendborg, Denmark product scored a goal and registered an assist against Baker and then followed that up with a school record four assists against William Penn.

Freshman goalkeeper, Krapfl, led the Pride to two wins last week, including a 1-0 shutout over Grand View and 3-1 road win at Park.

The Peosta, Iowa native made four saves in each of the victories for Clarke.
