Grand View Captures 2022 Heart Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship for Fourth-Straight Season

The Grand View University men's outdoor track & field program kept its conference title streak alive on Saturday, as they won their fourth-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Lacey Community Stadium on the campus of William Penn University.

The Vikings also won the Heart championship in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

Grand View won the event with 230 points, 120 points ahead of second-place Central Methodist, who garnered 110 points and MidAmerica Nazarene finished third with 90 points.

Taylor Bottomley of Central Methodist scored the most points of any athlete at the meet with 28. He won the hammer throw with a mark of 56.11m.

He also won the shot put with a toss of 16.29m and finished second in the discus with a toss of 51.65m.

The following awards will be announced on Monday, Heart Coach of the Year, Assistant Coach of the Year, Track Athlete of the Meet and Field Athlete of the Meet.

The top three finishers in each event will be considered 2022 Heart Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference athletes. 1st Place = First Team All-Conference, 2nd Place = Second Team All-Conference, 3rd Place = Third Team All-Conference, and fourth, fifth and sixth place finishers in each event will be considered 2022 Heart Outdoor Track & Field Honorable Mention All-Conference.
