2022 Heart Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Postseason Awards Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference completed the 2022 Heart Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 7 on the campus of William Penn University. The Heart is now pleased to announce its 2022 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Postseason awards.

The following awards were voted on by the Heart Track & Field head coaches:

2022 Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year – Jerry Monner – Grand View University

Coach Monner and the Vikings earned their fourth-straight Heart Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, as they won the event with 230 points, an impressive 110 points ahead of second-place CMU.

2022 Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year – Lindsey Andrews – Grand View University

Andrews was also named the 2022 Heart Indoor Track Women's Co-Assistant Coach of the Year and 2022 Heart Indoor Track Men's Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Andrews' distance team took first or second place in every distance event, 800m-10,000m, scoring 156 of Grand View's 236 total team points.

2022 Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Meet – Taylor Bottomley – Central Methodist

Bottomley was the Highest Point Scorer at the 2022 Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship with 28 points. He won the hammer throw with a mark of 56.11m and the shot put with a toss of 16.29m, both hit the NAIA 'A' standard. He wrapped up the championship with a second place finish in the discus, at 51.65m.

2022 Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Meet – Ceondae Adams – Mount Mercy

Adams scored 22.75 total points, as he won the 200m in a time of 22.75, hitting the NAIA 'B' Standard. He also finished third in the 100m and third in the 110m hurdles.
