2022 Heart Softball Postseason Awards and All-Conference Teams Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2022 Heart Softball Postseason awards and All-Conference Teams.
The list features players from across the conference that were awarded to the First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams.
The Gold Glove awards are also announced to the top defensive players in the conference by position.
The awards and All-Conference teams were voted on by the Heart head coaches.

2022 Heart Softball Coach of the Year – Pat Reardon – Central Methodist University
Coach Reardon earned the Heart Coach of the Year honor after leading the Eagles to a Heart regular season championship with nearly a perfect regular season record of 27-1. This marks the Eagles' first Heart regular season title since 2016. Under Reardon, the Eagles won six straight regular season titles from 2011-2016.
2022 Heart Softball Player of the Year – Madison White – Central Methodist University
White had an incredible sophomore season for CMU, as she hit .450 on the year and belted 14 home runs, while driving in 43 RBI's. The short stop from Columbia, Mo., also scored 48 runs.
2022 Heart Softball Pitcher of the Year – Jayna Witzany – Mount Mercy University
Witzany, who was named the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week six times in 2022, led the Mustangs with 20 victories in the circle this season. The senior also struck out 261 batters in 165.1 innings and currently has a stellar ERA of 0.80. She helped lead the Mustangs to the 2021 NAIA Softball World Series last year.
2022 Heart Softball Freshman of the Year – Mykala Johnico – Central Methodist University
Johnico has yet to lose a game this season, as she is 14-0 on the year and in 89.2 innings of work, she has 137 strikeouts. The Topeka, Kansas product currently has an ERA of 0.86 and 11 complete games.
2022 Heart Softball Newcomer of the Year – Peyton Moffet – Grand View University
In her first season with the Vikings, Moffet hit .404 at the plate and drove in 26 RBI's. She also scored 37 runs. She also had 15 extra base hits with 13 doubles, a triple and a home run.
