Maddie Morales, Women's Soccer - Defensive of the Week (Grand View)

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday and two first time winners in 2023 highlight this week's award.

Ashley Arribas of No. 20 nationally ranked Missouri Valley College was selected the WinWon Offensive Player of the Week, while Maddie Morales of Grand View earned the Defensive Player of the Week award.

Morales and the Vikings had a solid week, going 2-0, with wins over Graceland (3-0) and Baker (3-1).

The senior defender helped lead the defensive effort, and scored a goal and had an assist in the win over Baker.
