The Culver-Stockton Wildcats have been selected for the Musco Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport of women's lacrosse, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
The Wildcats, under head coach Caitlin Erickson, earned the award for their display of the NAIA's Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Teams are nominated throughout the season by Athletics Administrators, Game Officials, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Fans.
Here is what the nominators had to say about the Wildcats:
"Coach Erickson has continued to lead her program with class and since the program's inception, under her leadership, the program has always played the game with character and the right way!"
