Benedictine Baseball Selected Conference Commissioner's Association Champions of Character® Team Award

Under the direction of head coach Eric Peterson, the Benedictine College baseball program has earned a prestigious national award, as they were selected the Conference Commissioner's Association Champions of Character® Team Award recipient.

The Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) Champions of Character Team Award is given annually to one men's and one women's team for their exemplary character on the field, on campus, and in the community.

In December 2023, 44 members of Benedictine College's (Kan.) baseball team embarked on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The team donated more than 10,000 items, including medical kits, clothing, educational items, sports equipment, and two laptops, to areas in need. The team also engaged with the local community by visiting an orphanage, painting houses, and hosting a free youth sports camp for 125 children.
