Heart Golfers of the Week Announced – September 30

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week award on Monday afternoon.

Hanna Rieker of Missouri Valley College was selected the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week, while Theo Baker of Mount Mercy University earned the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week award.

Rieker finished second overall at the CMU Fall Invite last week with her rounds of 81 and 77. The junior finished runner-up in a field of 37 athletes. MVC also finished in second place as a team. 

Baker and the Mustangs competed at the NAIA National Preview at TPC Deere Run last week.

The sophomore led the field with rounds of 66 and 70 to place first overall in a field of 119 total players. He won the event by over five strokes. Baker helped lead the Mustangs to a first-place team finish as well.
