Bio

Madison Lantz-Farris joined the Heart of America Athletic Conference as its first-ever Student-Athlete Development Coordinator & HASA Advisor in July of 2024.

Lantz-Farris is a graduate of William Penn University and majored in Psychology and Human Services and played on the Women's Golf team. She was highly involved on campus, serving as President of the Association of Student-Athletes and Vice President of the Student Government Association.

As an undergraduate, she was honored to be selected as the Heart of America Athletic Conference representative at the national level, serving on the NAIA Association of Student-Athletes (ASA). During her tenure, she was elected Chair of the NAIA-ASA, representing over 77,000 student-athletes across the NAIA. In this role, she collaborated with leadership to help pass significant NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) legislation and played a key role in promoting the "Together at the Core" initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During her undergraduate studies and into her Graduate Program, Lantz-Farris had the opportunity to work with the WPU Athletic Department. Her responsibilities gradually expanded to include marketing, promotions, ticketing, and student-athlete development.

During her sophomore year, she became deeply passionate about improving the student-athlete experience, particularly in preparing them for life after sports. She collaborated with former Athletic Director, now Commissioner, Nik Rule, to create the Statesmen Leadership Academy, which offered workshops led by professionals and alumni on topics ranging from career development to personal growth. After her first year in the Master's program, she was offered a position in the Admissions Office while continuing my work in Athletics. One year later, she was promoted to Director of Admissions.

From 2021-2024 Lantz-Farris served as an Advisor for the Heart of America Association of Student-Athletes (HASA), and this year her role expanded to become the Student-Athlete Development Coordinator and sole HASA Advisor and its initiatives.

Madison is originally from Corona, California, and now resides in Oskaloosa, IA, with her husband, Grant, and their dog, Bogey.
