Heart Announces First Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week of 2023
In the first installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week awards of 2023, Austin Dill of Evangel and Bryce Dye of Park have been selected the Heart Pitcher and Player of the Week respectively.
In the first installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week awards of 2023, Austin Dill of Evangel and Bryce Dye of Park have been selected the Heart Pitcher and Player of the Week respectively.
Dill became the Evangel career strikeout leader last week with his 265th strikeout. He also had an exceptional game against William Woods, as he led the Valor to a 2-1 win, while throwing seven innings, allowing one earned run and striking out 14 batters.
Dye had four home runs in five games for the Pirates and drove in 8 RBI's, to help lead the Pirates to a 4-1 record against Dallas Christian and Austin College. For the week, the senior hit .750, going 9-for-12.
