Frieders of MNU, Sears of CMU Collect Heart Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Baseball Players of the Week on Monday, as Tyler Frieders of MidAmerica Nazarene collected the Heart Pitcher of the Week and Tanner Sears of Central Methodist is the Heart Player of the Week.

Sears and the Eagles played two four-game Heart series last week, as they split the four-game series with MNU and swept Baker, 4-0.

In 26 at-bats, the sophomore hit .423 with 11 hits, incuding five home runs and two doubles. He drove in 14 RBI's and his top game of the week came against MNU, when he had a three home run, six RBI game.

Frieders struck out a program record 17 batters in the 6-1 win over Central Methodist. In the seven inning complete game, the junior allowed just five hits and one earned run.
