McPheron, Demos Earn Final Heart Baseball Player of the Week of 2023

Josh McPheron of Culver-Stockton College and Zac Demos of Benedictine College earn the final Heart of America Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week awards of 2023, announced by the conference office.

Demos and the Ravens swept MidAmerica Nazarene in a four-game series last week, helping them qualify for the 2023 Heart Baseball Conference Tournament.

The senior hit a walk-off two run home run in game one and for the week he hit .538, going 7-of-13.

He also hit a grand slam and knocked in nine total RBI's on the week.

McPheron threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory against No. 20 nationally ranked Central Methodist.

The junior retired 17 of the last 18 batters he faced. Overall, he allowed just three hits and struck out two batters.
