2023 Heart Baseball All-Conference Teams Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its annual Heart Baseball All-Conference teams and major award winners on Thursday.

The All-Conference teams feature players from across the Heart and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.

Below you will also find the 2023 Heart Baseball Gold Glove Team.

The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart baseball head coaches.

Below please find the list of 2023 individual major award winners:

2023 Heart Baseball Player of the Year – Robbie Merced – Central Methodist

This is the second-straight Heart Baseball Player of the Year honor for Merced. This season, Merced played in 48 games for the Eagles and hit .391 with eight home runs and 36 RBI's.

He also stole 14 bases and scored 54 runs.

2023 Heart Baseball Pitcher of the Year – Alan West – Central Methodist

West through 75.1 innings on the mound in the regular season for the Eagles and posted an ERA of 2.63. He also struck out 98 batters. He was Top five in both of those categories throughout the conference in 2023. He went 9-2 in the regular season and had seven complete games.

2023 Heart Baseball Coach of the Year – Nate Breland – Central Methodist

Under the direction of Coach Breland the CMU Eagles made a clean sweep of all three major awards. This season, the Eagles won the Heart Baseball Regular Season title outright with a conference record of 23-7. CMU went 33-15 overall in the regular season and earned the No. 1 seed in this week's Heart Baseball Conference Tournament in Ozark, Mo.

2023 Heart Baseball Gold Glove Team:
