Heart Baseball Players of the Week – February 19

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its Heart Softball Players of the Week on Monday.

Bobby Nichols of No. 22 nationally ranked Central Methodist University garnered the Heart Player of the Week award, while Graceland University's Stephen Eskridge is the Heart Pitcher of the Week.

Nichols hit .727 in four games last week for the Eagles. The senior went 8-for-11 from the plate with a home run and three RBI's. He also stole four bases and scored seven runs. The Eagles went 3-1 in those games.

The Yellowjackets went 3-0 in all three games Eskridge pitched in last week. The junior lefty struck out 10 batters in five innings of work and allowed just one hit. He earned a save in all three games as well.
