Clarke’s Brown, WPU’s Madueno Selected Heart Baseball Player & Pitcher of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Baseball Weekly awards on Monday, as Clarke University's Alden Brown earned the Heart Player of the Week award, while Abel Madueno of William Penn garnered the Heart Pitcher of the Week award.

Brown and the Pride defeated Missouri Valley in a pair of Heart games last week, 13-6 and 11-7.

The junior first baseman went 4-for-6 in those two games and had one home run, two doubles and six RBI.

Madueno helped the Statesmen defeat No. 22 CMU on Saturday, 8-1, with  terrific 6.2 inning outing, as the junior allowed just one run on six hits and struck out 12.
