No. 24 MidAmerica Nazarene Sweeps Heart Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week awards on Monday.

No. 24 MidAmerica Nazarene swept the awards, as Zach Trevino garnered the Heart Pitcher of the Week award, and teammate Willy Borquez earned the Heart Player of the Week.

The Pioneers went a perfect 6-0 last week in Heart games. In those six games, Borquez hit .684, going 13-for-19, with five doubles, four home runs and 11 RBIs. He also posted an on-base percentage of .714. 

Trevino struck out five batters in a complete game, two hit shutout last week in a 5-0 win over Peru State.

MNU is 18-7 overall and 11-1 in Heart play.
