Santana, Moist Selected Heart Baseball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Yadiel Santana of Park University earned the Heart Player of the Week award, while Jason Moist of Grand View was selected the Heart Pitcher of the Week.

Santana and the Pirates went 4-2 in Heart games last week.

The senior went 10-of-18 at the plate and posted an on-base percentage of .600. He drove in nine RBIs and had a triple and home run.

In a 14-4 win over Waldorf, Moist threw four innings and allowed just one hit and struck out three batters.

Then in a 12-4 win over Baker, the senior threw six innings and and again struck out three batters, going 2-0 on the week.
