Meier, Owens Selected Heart Baseball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Baseball Weekly honors on Monday.

Davin Meier of Culver-Stockton was named the Heart Pitcher of the Week, while Kaden Owens of (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene was named the Heart Player of the Week.

Owens and the Pioneers went a perfect 5-0 last week, with four wins coming over Heart foe Missouri Valley.

Owens hit .571 on the week, going 12-of-21 with five home runs and 16 RBI's. He hit a walk-off home run in the eighth inning to give the Pioneers the series sweep over MVC.

Meier threw a complete game, two-hit shutout against Graceland last week. The senior carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning and struck out six batters in the 1-0 victory.
