
Three Programs Land in NAIA Top 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Heart of America competitive cheer programs landed in the Top 25 after this week's NAIA scoring database update.
Central Methodist leads the way for the conference as the No. 4 rated team, boasting a scoring average of 80.48 points through two competitions. The Eagles are followed by No. 12 Mount Mercy (78.28 points) and No. 13 Missouri Valley (76.81 points) to round out the conference members in the Top 25.
At this time, 50 institutions are listed with reported scores while 74 schools across the nation sponsor competitive cheer at the NAIA level. Other Heart members in the database are: No. 32 MidAmerica Nazarene (63.42), No. 37 Graceland (59.53), No. 40 Grand View (52.75), No. 41 Peru State (52.53), and No. 49 Baker (41.79). Teams are set to compete at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Cheer Championship on Saturday, February 15th. The event will be hosted at MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe, Kan.
