Cheer, Dance Championships Set for Saturday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2018 Heart of America Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships will be held this Saturday, February 3 inside the Sisam Arena on the Grand View University campus in Des Moines, Iowa. Championship Central

Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. for all fans attending, with tickets priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students. For those unable to attend, Grand View will provide a live video stream. CLICK HERE to watch the entire event.

The competitive dance teams will begin the competition with preliminary routines set to begin just after 11:00 a.m. Results from the dance prelims will be shared just after 12:00 p.m., followed by the preliminary cheer routines.

Once the order of competition for the final rounds is set, championship routines will be performed, with final results and awards presentations scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The event will conclude with Grand View, Benedictine and Central Methodist holding a regular season dual at 5:15 p.m.

The Heart of America Athletic Conference cheer and dance teams will advance to the 2018 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance Southeast Qualifying Group, scheduled for Friday, February 23 in the Collins Center on the Baker University campus in Baldwin City, Kan.
