Grand View’s Jordan Nieuwenhuis Collects Heart Dancer of the Week

In the third edition of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Dancer of the Week awards, Grand View University's Jordan Nieuwenhuis garnered the award.

Nieuwenhuis and the Vikings defeated Morningside in a dual last week, defeating the Mustangs with a score of 91.4, while Morningside scored 81.45.

Nieuwenhuis is a senior from Primghar, Iowa, she, and the Vikings will next compete at the 2023 Heart Competitive Dance Championships on Saturday, February 18 in Marshall, Missouri on the campus of Missouri Valley College.

In order to nominate a dancer for the Heart Dancer of the Week, the Heart competitive dance team that earns the highest score during a competition for the week of Feb. 6-Feb. 12 is eligible for the Heart Dancer of the Week award.

The team with the highest score will select one dancer from their team and that dancer will garner the award.
