Grand View's Izzy Martens Named Heart Dancer of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Dancer of the Week award on Monday afternoon.

Izzy Martens of Grand View earned the honor this week.

Grand View competed at the Northwestern College Invite last week and posted a score of 86.9, which was the highest score of any Heart dance team last week.

Martens is a sophomore from Davenport, Iowa.

In order to nominate a dancer for the Heart Dancer of the Week award, the Heart competitive dance team that earns the highest score during a competition for the week of Feb. 10-16 is eligible for the Heart Dancer of the Week award.

The team with the highest score will select one dancer from their team and that dancer will garner the award.
