Central Methodist’s Mcclinton, Simon Earn Big Game Football Player of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Big Game Football Player of the Week awards on Monday, as Central Methodist swept the awards.

Lontas Mcclinton was selected the Big Game Football Defensive Player of the Week, while Oscar Simon earned the Big Game Football Special Team's Player of the Week. There were no Offensive Player of the Week nominations this week.

Mcclinton had 12 tackles and a fumble recovery to setup CMU's first touchdown of the game, in their 34-20 road loss at Olivet Nazarene.

Simon, who is a junior from Colleyville, Texas, connected on two field goals against Olivet Nazarene and went 2-for-2 on PAT's.
