Dooley, Adrian, Simpson Collect Big Game Football Player of the Week Awards on November 6

As the 2023 Heart football season continues, the conference announced its weekly Big Game Football Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Jackson Dooley of No. 14 ranked Benedictine College was selected the Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Seth Adrian of No. 2 Grand View earned the Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Seth Simpson of No. 25 Baker was selected the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Dooley and the Ravens defeated Missouri Baptist, 34-16, on the road on Saturday to improve to 4-0 in Heart South play and 8-2 overall.

Dooley threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns in the Raven's victory. It marked the fifth time this season that the sophomore has thrown for at least four touchdowns in a game.

Adrian and the Vikings improved to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Heart North on Saturday with a 35-6 road win over rival William Penn University.

In the victory, the senior had 13 tackles and three tackles for loss, including two sacks. The Grand View defense has held all nine of its opponents to 13 points or less this season.

Simpson made three field goals and was a perfect, 7-of-7, on PAT's in Baker's 58-7 road win at Central Methodist on Saturday. It marked his second game this season with three field goals made in a game. His long on Saturday was 37-yards.
