Final Big Game Football Player of the Week Awards of 2023 Announced

In the final installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Big Game Football Players of the Week, Adrian Parsons of No. 22 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene was selected the Offensive Player of the Week, while Canon Karn of No. 20 ranked Baker earned the Defensive Player of the Week and Trevor Highley or MNU earned the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Parsons and the Pioneers, went on the road and defeated No. 14 ranked Benedictine, 38-31, in the regular season finale to earn a share of the 2023 Heart South Division Conference Championship.

In the victory, Parsons threw for 491 yards on 27-of-39 and four touchdowns. The Pioneers finished the season with a record of 9-2 and captured their first Heart title since 2014.

Fellow teammate Highley, hit a career-long 49-yard field goal in the victory. He was also a perfect 5-for-5 on PAT's.

Karn and the Wildcats earned a 4-14 road win at Missouri Valley on Saturday and captured a share of the Heart South Division Conference Championship.

The junior linebacker had two interceptions and a fumble recovery, along with six tackles in the regular season finale. The Holton, Kansas native ranks second in the NAIA with seven interceptions.
