Heart Announces 2024 North Football All-Conference Selections
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is proud to announce the 2024 Heart Football North Division All-Conference teams and postseason award winners.

The seven Heart North head coaches selected the following postseason awards and 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams.
2024 Heart North Player of the Year – Jackson Waring – Grand View University
For the second-straight year Waring has been selected the Heart North Player of the Year. In 2024, Waring threw for 1,739 yards and 18 touchdowns for the Vikings. She also ran for 388 yards and nine touchdowns.
2024 Heart North Offensive Player of the Year- Gerald Monroe – Graceland University
Monroe had an outstanding season for the Yellowjackets, as he made 84 receptions this season for 1,562 yards and 22 receiving touchdowns.
2024 Heart North Defensive Player of the Year – John Argo – Grand View University
Argo finished the regular season second on the team in total tackles with 49. The linebacker also had eight tackles for loss, two interceptions and four pass breakups.
2024 Heart North Co-Freshman of the Year – Kaden Thomas – Culver-Stockton College
The freshman linebacker led the Wildcats in tackles this season with 73. He also forced a fumble and had 2.5 tackles for loss.
2024 Heart North Co-Freshman of the Year – Ja-Quez Oliver – Peru State College
In his first season with the Bobcats, the linebacker led Peru State in tackles with 57. The freshman also had four pass breakups and 6.5 tackles for loss.
2024 Heart North Coach of the Year – Joe Woodley – Grand View
The Vikings enter the postseason as the No. 2 ranked team in the NAIA with a perfect 10-0 overall record and 6-0 mark in the Heart North. This is the 6th-straight season they have won the Heart North Conference Championship.
2024 Heart North Assistant of the Year – EJ Peterson – Grand View
In his sixth season as Defensive Coordinator, Peterson has led the Grand View defense to some stellar feats in 2024, as the defense is allowing just 8.0 points per game (80 total) to lead both the Heart and the NAIA in scoring defense. Under Peterson's guidance, the unit has also limited opponents to 184.1 total yards per game, ranking first nationally.
