Manrique Alvarado of No. 22 Evangel, Selected Heart Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

After leading No. 22 Evangel to an 82-71 win over No. 13 University of Science and Arts (Okla.), Manrique Alvarado was selected the Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

The junior from Cartago, Costa Rica scored 28 points for the Valor on an impressive 71.4-percent shooting from the floor, 10-of-14.

He also went 5-of-7 from three-point range and had two assists. Evangel improved to 4-1 to start the season.
