Ed Wright of No. 15 MidAmerica Nazarene Earns Second WinWon Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Ed Wright of No. 15 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University has been selected the WinWon Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference on Monday.

The junior from Lorain, Ohio, averaged 32.5 points per game in two games, scoring 34 points in a 94-89 road victory at Central Methodist and scoring 31 points in a 120-92 home victory against William Penn.

For the week, Wright shot 59.1-percent from the field going 26-of-44. He also averaged two rebounds and 3.5 assists in the pair of wins. 

MidAmerica Nazarene has earned the No. 1 seed and will be hosting No. 8 Missouri Valley in the first-round of the 2024 Heart Men's Basketball Conference Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
