Heart Men’s Basketball Players of the Week Announced – January 13, 2025

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its Men's Basketball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon on Monday afternoon.

Carlos Hines of Peru State was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Bol Tong of Central Methodist was named the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Hines and the Bobcats went 1-1 last week, falling to No. 25 Graceland in the Heart Conference Network Game of the Week, 79-76, then bounced back with a 71-50 road win at Culver-Stockton.

The senior scored 27 points and had seven assists in the game against Peru State. For the week, he averaged 20 points per game, four assists per game and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Tong was selected the Offensive Player of the Week last week. This past week, he led CMU to two victories, a 75-46 road win over Culver-Stockton and a home win over William Penn, 97-74.

The senior had nine defensive rebounds this week, seven blocks and a steal. Six of his blocks came in the win over William Penn.
