Jones, Tong, Selected Heart Men's Basketball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards, presented by WinWon on Monday afternoon.

Keenan Jones of Missouri Valley College was named the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Bol Tong of Central Methodist garnered the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

Jones had a stellar week for the Vikings in two road victories, at William Penn, 87-82 and at Mount Mercy 82-73.

The senior scored 37 points in the win over Mount Mercy and 27 against WPU. He tied a program record with nine, three-point field goals made against Mount Mercy.

Tong averaged 7.5 defensive rebounds per game and 2.5 blocks per game in CMU's two victories last week.

The Eagles defeated Benedictine, 92-88, on the road and Clarke at home, 110-76.

In the win over BC, the senior had eight rebounds, three blocks and a steal.
