
Central Methodist Men’s Golf to Represent the Heart at 70th Annual NAIA National Championships
The 2022 Heart Men’s Golf Champion Central Methodist University golf team is set to compete in the 70th Annual NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship on May 17-20 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.

The Eagles will tee off at 12:10 pm on Tuesday, May 17 with fellow National qualifying teams Morningside (Iowa) and St. Ambrose (Iowa).
The 156-player field consists of 20 automatic qualifying teams, which won their respective conference/independent tournament or were ranked in the final Top 25 for the conference's second automatic berth one host berth to St. Ambrose and seven at-large team berths. At-large teams were determined using the final regular-season Coaches' Top 25 Poll released yesterday
From an individual standpoint, there were 11 individual qualifiers to this years' title fight. To receive an individual automatic berth, the conference medalist must be from a team who did not win the conference team title, or be an All-Tournament Team honoree from the previous year's national championships that did not qualify otherwise. To earn an at-large individual berth, the selection is determined by the NAIA Men's Golf Executive Committee.
The Eagles are led by 2022 Heart Medalist and Men's Golfer of the Year, Matias Baccola and fellow Heart First Team All-Conference performers, Tomas Lopez Mazzalay, Tiago Swart, Aaron Teece.
