William Penn Sweeps Heart Golfer of the Week Awards

The William Penn University golf program swept this week's Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week awards, as Gabriana Franco earned the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week honors, while Andon Herrera was selected the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week. 

Franco and her teammates competed at the Columbia College Classic and the sophomore won the event with her rounds of 82 and 76. She won the individual crown after a playoff. She placed first out of 42 total golfers.

Herrera and the Statesmen also competed at the Columbia Classic and the freshman placed third overall out of 78 total golfers.

The Katy, Texas native fired rounds of 69 and 73, the 69 was a two-under par round.
