Heart Men’s and Women’s Golfer Awards of the Week Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week awards on Monday.

Ben Lamke of Baker University earned the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week, while Jordan Pillay of Mount Mercy was named the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week.

Lemke and the Wildcats took on the Park Invitational last week and the freshman won the event with his round of 70 to place first out of 50 golfers. The event was cut to just one round due to weather.

Pillay and the Mustangs competed at the STACO Spring Classic and the freshman placed first overall in the event that was also cut to just one round, due to weather.

Pillay placed first with her round of 73, which was the best round out of the 39 golfers competing.
