Valdes, Lange Earn Heart Golfer of the Week Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Santiago Valdes of Park University earned the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week award, while Olivia Lange of William Penn University was named the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week.

Lange won the Island Pointe Intercollegiate tournament last week with her rounds of 76 and 75. The senior won by 11 strokes and helped William Penn win the team title.

Valdes took home first-place at the Baker Invitational last week with his rounds of 72 and 65. His round of 65 tied the Park all-time record for lowest 18-hole score. The Pirates also took home first place as a team.
