(RV) Benedictine Sweeps Heart Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

The (RV) Benedictine College men's lacrosse team swept this week's Heart Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, after a 2-0 week.

Jordan Rodriguez earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week award, while teammate Joseph Bianchi was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Rodriguez and the Ravens defeated Midland, 22-6, and Heart opponent No. 8 ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene, 17-9, to improve to 6-3 and 2-0 in the Heart.

Rodriguez scored eight total goals last week, including three against Midland and five against MVNU.

Bianchi is the reigning NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week. This past week he won 75-percent of his faceoffs. Winning 15 against Midland and 18 against No. 8 ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene.
