Rodriguez, Hajnasiewicz Capture Final Heart Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards of 2023

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced the final Heart Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week of 2023 on Monday.

Nick Hajnasiewicz of No. 9 nationally ranked William Penn was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week, while Jordan Rodriguez of (RV) Benedictine was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week.

Rodriguez and the Ravens went 1-1 last week and earned the No. 4 seed in this week's Heart Men's Lacrosse Conference Tournament. In those two games last week, the senior scored five goals against Clarke and four against St. Ambrose. He also had two assists against the Pride and four against the Fighting Bees.

Hajnasiewicz and the Statesmen won the first-ever Heart Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Championship with a 23-8 win over Missouri Valley last week.

In the win, the sophomore won 13-of-15 face offs. The win improved William Penn to 12-5 overall and 5-0 in the Heart.
