Christensen, Besuzzi Capture Heart Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards on Monday.

Wyatt Christensen of No. 4 ranked William Penn earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week honor, while CJ Besuzzi of (RV) Benedictine College captured the Defensive Player of the Week. 

Christensen and the Statesmen went 2-0 last week with a 25-2 win over Midland and a 19-3 win over Northwestern (Minn.). For the week the sophomore scored four goals in each game and had five total assists, four coming against Northwestern.

Besuzzi and the Ravens, defeated Ottawa, 9-8 and Mount Vernon Nazarene, 9-6, last week.

The freshman goalkeeper had 12 saves against Ottawa and 11 against MVNU.
