Heart Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week Announced – April 1

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Breck Putzier of No. 4 ranked William Penn has been selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Jordan Rodriguez of (RV) Benedictine College was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Putzier and the Statesmen picked up an impressive Heart victory last week with a 33-4 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene.

The junior broke a school record with 17 points in the win, with 10 goals and seven assists. The 10 goals scored, tied a school record as well. 

Rodriguez and the Ravens went 2-0 last week with a Heart win over Clarke, 23-1 and a non-conference win over Missouri Baptist, 20-2. For the week, the senior midfielder helped the Ravens allow just three goals on the week. He also scored eight goals on the week.
