Bianchi, Baliva Secure Heart Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards on Monday afternoon.

Joseph Bianchi of (RV) Benedictine was named the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Collin Baliva of No. 4 William Penn earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Bianchi and the Ravens defeated Missouri Valley last week, 23-5. In the victory, the senior scored six goals and three assists. He also went a perfect, 20-for-20 on faceoffs.  

Baliva and the Statesmen went 2-0 last week with a non-con win over Columbia, 18-4 and a 16-7 Heart victory over (RV) St. Ambrose, 16-7.

The senior posted 12 ground balls and caused four turnovers over the two wins.
