Heart Announces First Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards of 2025

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week of 2025, presented by Box Out on Monday afternoon.

Breck Putzier of No. 5 ranked William Penn was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Abraham Agundez of Clarke University earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

Putzier scored nine goals and seven assists in two games for the Statesmen. In a 24-8 win over Michigan-Dearborn, he had eight goals and two assists. He followed that up with one goal and five assists in a tough 19-17 loss to Madonna (Mich.).

Agundez and the Pride earned a 22-7 win over Augustana last week. The senior won all but two faceoffs in the victory, going 16-of-18 and scored a goal and registered an assist.
