
Putzier, Stapf Named Heart Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Lacrosse Weekly honors on Monday.
Breck Putzier of No. 10 nationally ranked William Penn was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Andrew Stapf of Columbia College earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.
Putzier and the Statesmen went 2-0 last week in Heart matchups with a 26-0 win over Midland University and an 18-7 victory at William Woods.
The senior scored four goals in each victory and had an impressive 11 assists against Midland.
Stapf and the Cougars also went 2-0 last week in Heart contests, as they defeated (RV) Benedictine, 11-10 and beat Clarke, 17-10.
The goalkeeper spent 120 minutes in goal for the Cougars and had 20 saves against Benedictine and 10 against Clarke.
